On November 20, we invite you to the international, interdisciplinary scientific conference “The Exilic Fates of the Prisoners of Stutthof”.
The conference is dedicated to analyzing the experiences of Lithuanian prisoners who found themselves in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. Although the history of the Stutthof concentration camp and the stories of Lithuanian inmates have received considerable attention from researchers in Lithuania and abroad, scientific studies still lack interdisciplinary research on the long-term impact of Nazi regime oppression on the personal lives of former prisoners. The conference will also explore how these traumatic experiences are reflected upon and evaluated in Lithuania and among the diaspora.
