On September 4, 2024, at The Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum, the presentation of  writer Rimantas Povilas Vanagas book “Nijolė Lituana” took place. The main character of this book is Nijolė Sivickas de Mockus (1925–2018), a Lithuanian artist from Colombia, the mother of Colombian politician Antanas Mockus and scientist Ismena Mockus. The event featured Birutė Garbaravičienė, Rasutė Žukienė, and the author of the book, Rimantas Povilas Vanagas. The event was moderated by Prof. Egidijus Aleksandravičius, Director of the VMU Lithuanian Emigration Institute.
