On March 20th, a presentation of the latest novel by Ukrainian writer Yana Vovk took place at The Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum. Y. Vovk is an activist within the Ukrainian community in Jonava and also works at the Jonava Social Services Center. In her book, the author depicts significant episodes of the ongoing war in Ukraine and vivid characters that allow readers to identify with wartime experiences, thus increasing our empathy and moral sensitivity. During the event, excerpts from the novel were read in Lithuanian (translated by Jurgita Jasponytė). The event was conducted in Ukrainian with translation into Lithuanian.
