On September 20, 2024, a commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the birth of writer Marius Katiliškis took place at the Pasvalys Marius Katiliškis Public Library. At the event, professor Dalia Kuizinienė, a researcher from the Vytautas Magnus University Lithuanian Emigration Institute, gave a lecture titled “Marius Katiliškis: A Glimpse into the Work of a Classic and the Commemoration of His Legacy.”
During the event, there was also a remote conversation with writer Birutė Putrius, who lives in Los Angeles (USA), about her novel “Lost Birds” (2019) and the life of émigrés in the United States.
