Honorary Consuls in Lithuanian Corners of the World. An event dedicated to the memory of Algirdas Kabaila

On April 23, 2024, at 11 a.m., an event dedicated to the memory of Algirdas Kabaila, Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Australia (1925-2021), will take place at The Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum (S. Daukanto str. 25, Kaunas). The event will be held both in person and remotely via the Zoom platform.

The event will be attended by Professor Vytautas Landsbergis, Lithuanian Ambassador to Australia Darius Degutis, Ambassador Rita Kazragienė. Algirdas Kabaila’s children Paul, Peter, and Milda will share their memories of their father; historians Dr. Daiva Dapkutė and Dr. Giedrius Janauskas will provide insights into the activities of the Lithuanian community in Australia. The event will be moderated by Professor Egidijus Aleksandravičius. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to view a special exhibition dedicated to Dr. A. Kabaila’s memory, featuring exhibits, documents, and photographs from his archive.
