On June 3, 2024, a meeting took place at The Valdas Adamkus Presidential Library-Museum with diplomat, political scientist, and actor Darius Sužiedėlis.

Darius Sužiedėlis was a member of the World Lithuanian Youth Congress, served as the chairman of the American Lithuanian Youth Association, and since 1989 worked in the Political Affairs Office of the Lithuanian American Community. During the events of January 1991, he volunteered as an interpreter at the Supreme Council. Later, he worked as an aide to the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Vytautas Landsbergis, handling correspondence with Western countries and maintaining relations with the media. After returning to the United States, he worked at the Lithuanian Embassy with Stasys Lozoraitis, and from 1991 to 1995, at the Lithuanian Mission to the United Nations. During the meeting, D. Sužiedėlis shared his memories of his activities during this period.
